Tok Mainstreet Visitor’s Center is many travelers’ first stop. It is located in the middle of Tok at the main intersection. It’s said to be Alaska’s largest log structure; standing at 7,000 square feet, it’s full of helpful information to help plan your Alaskan Trip.
Enjoy a great meal at Fast Eddy’s Restaurant! They are known for their pizza burgers and salad bar! Great for any meal of the day, and within walking distance from your campsite!
Tok has a nice, paved walking or biking path that goes 10 miles out of town towards Fairbanks, and 7 miles down the Tok cut-off towards Glenallen. The path allows you plenty of space to stretch your legs or walk your pets. No vehicle necessary – you can take off from your camping spot or cabin!
Tok is an outdoorsman’s paradise! In every direction you are able to reach bodies of water which allow for fishing, birdwatching, and hiking! Come up to the Gift Shop for a fishing map!
Take a day trip to CHICKEN, ALASKA! Leave your RV parked with us and enjoy the historical Taylor Highway to visit one of Alaska’s smallest communities rich with gold mining history. Roads are partially chip-sealed along the 77 miles to Chicken, which allows you lots of time to enjoy the vast mountain scenery, the chance of seeing wildlife, and to try to strike it rich with gold panning! Either bring or plan on getting some lunch while you’re there – if you are planning on spending the night, book your stay ahead of time.
Take a two-day trip to EAGLE, ALASKA! It is 167 miles away, but it’s dirt once you are on the Top of the World Highway past Chicken. Allow yourself some spare time to move at a comfortable speed. We recommend leaving your RV or travel trailer at our park in Tok. Eagle is said to have the state’s largest “museum system,” boasting five restored turn-of-the-century buildings. Give yourself some spare time to get comfortable in Eagle. Be sure to book rooms/cabins in advance.
